Server Appliance Manufacturer Recognized by Great Place to Work® and Fortune Magazine.
Custom server appliance manufacturer MBX Systems is one of the 2016 Best Workplaces in Manufacturing and Production, according to the global research and consulting firm Great Place to Work and Fortune Magazine. MBX is one of only 15 companies to be recognized in the 2016 list, which includes companies ranging from niche manufacturers to the makers of GoreTex and M&Ms.
Rankings are based exclusively on employee surveys measuring a variety of factors indicating trust in company management, pride in their jobs, and camaraderie with co-workers. MBX ranked #9 on the list, with 95% of MBX employees rating their bosses as “great,” 97% expressing pride in their workplace and praising the company’s communication procedures, and 98% citing a “great atmosphere.”
Earning similarly high marks were MBX’s team environment, special events, employees’ willingness to put in extra effort to meet the needs of the business, the company’s contributions to the community, and dozens of other factors examined in the 58-question survey.
Company perks and programs helping to drive those strong evaluations include health insurance coverage for needs such as mental health care, on-site health benefits such as cholesterol testing and blood pressure screening, work/life balance policies such as telecommuting options and 60-day job-protected maternity leave, and activities ranging from MBX-sponsored sports leagues and free lunchtime yoga classes every Friday to diverse community service opportunities.
“A positive, supportive and socially active workplace builds strong teams, employee loyalty, and a corporate culture that nurtures innovation, business growth and a commitment to exceptional customer service. We have seen these benefits firsthand in employee feedback and retention as well as in the bottom line,” said MBX President Jill Bellak. “This recognition from Great Place to Work and Fortune Magazine reinforces the value that our employees place on our work environment and provides insight into how we make MBX a great place to work every day.”
“The leading manufacturing and production companies know the game has changed,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “The best workplaces in the industry know they can’t just churn out their products with warm bodies. They need to focus on attracting and retaining top talent by putting people first, in a high-trust culture. That’s how they are winning in the market.”
